I trained with The Association for Group & Individual Psychotherapy in London and am a full professional member of this organisation. My training organisation offered a pluralist training in all the major thinkers in the psychoanalytic tradition including Freud, Jung and Klein. Over time I have developed my thinking to also embrace other psychodynamic thinkers.
I am professional member and registrant of the Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis (CPJA) and The College of Psychoanalysts - UK (CP-UK).
For a number of years I have also worked as an honorary psychotherapist with the Department for Psychological Medicine at St Bartholomew's Hospital London.
I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) which means that I have completed a nationally recognised training, that I maintain professional insurance, that I am connected to an organisation with a structured complaints procedure, that I have regular professional supervision of my work, that I undertake regular professional development and training, and that I am committed to adhere to an established code of ethics.
Currently I am undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships, an operational unit of the
Tavistock Institute of Medical Psychology.
